Teamsters Local 294 made good progress at a "meet and greet" with XPO contract negotiators on December 16, a lead up to the start of negotiations on January 25-26.
"We're pleased with the progress we made at this 'meet and greet,' but we recognize that this is early in the process, and we still have a long way to go," said John Bulgaro, President of Local 294. "However, we hope to build on the momentum we have and continue to move forward to address the XPO workers' issues. We also look forward to having DSR's (Driver Sales Reps) participate in the negotiations."
Progress was made in the following areas:
* Interim grievance and arbitration procedure for discipline/discharge
* Attendance records for all current Albany DSRs shall be reset to zero points
* Information request submitted for all past camera violations with further discussion forthcoming on points previously assessed to DSRs.
